Peter R. Higgs

Peter was born and raised in Comox, BC. He has had the privilege of spending most of his life on the Island and can think of no better place to call home and live with his wife and three children.

Throughout his youth, he competed at high levels in numerous sports and utilizes that training to assist him with the practice of law. His responsibility as a lawyer is to ensure the best outcome for the client. Understanding the desired result and working towards obtaining the most effective and cost-effective solution is paramount. The best result is not necessarily court. However, if court is necessary Peter has run numerous trials in both Supreme and Provincial Court. In addition, Peter has conducted many applications and participated in administrative hearings. No matter what, the goal is to work with clients in order to find the best way to resolve their legal matters.

Peter is the legal supervisor for the Access Pro Bono Clinic which provides legal services to people who have limited access to justice.

In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, fishing and skiing. He also has a fondness for travelling, good food and good company.
