About

Born and raised in the prairies, Emily is proud to now call herself a ‘coastal cowgirl’ on the Island. She comes to CR Lawyers LLP as an articling student, having recently graduated from law school at the University of Victoria. Emily is the youngest graduate of the joint Common Law and Indigenous Legal Orders program to date.

With a background in accounting, Emily brings a detail-oriented approach to legal matters (she also won’t back down from an Excel spreadsheet). She aims to provide clients with effective results while being cost-conscious.

Across British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, and the Northwest Territories, Emily has worked for/with various Indigenous communities. She takes care to focus on relationality while remaining a steadfast advocate for her clients. Emily is eager to now serve Indigenous communities in the North Island.

Outside of work, Emily has with many hobbies including but not limited to; fishing, foraging, hiking, horse-riding, sailing, painting, weaving and most of all, petting dogs!
